Overview

Holy Mackerel is a whimsical retail shop in the heart of Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia. Part of the Six by the Sea family, Holy Mackerel showcases a curated collection of unique products and crafts by over 100 Atlantic Canadian artisans and vendors.

Context

With an inventory of over 1200 products, Holy Mackerel’s website needed to not only work seamlessly with their existing payment system used for in-store transactions, but to also immerse our audience in the story of how a few locally run commercial properties dating back to the mid 1800’s led to the bustling little gift shop Holy Mackerel is today. 

Using integrations such as WooCommerce & Square, we developed a clean, fun and whimsical ecommerce website where customers can purchase goods from well known east coast artisans year-round, with the ability to browse items by category or brand name, while also reading about the rich history of the Peggy’s Cove landscape and community.
