Context
To help pain the picture of this sustainable future, we partnered with Port Of Halifax to develop a colourful, illustrated infographic. By utilizing a isometric plane an eye-catching yet corporate-friendly design style, we were able to showcase a large cross section of the Halifax harbour, with the primary focus on PSA Halifax Fairview Cove, Richmond Terminals, and the Halifax Seaport Ocean Terminals. Dotting this infrastructure is a variety of hypothetical energy-efficient vessels, such as diesel/biofuel bunkering vessels & tugs, electric-powered ferries, container ships & marine response vehicles, as well as electric-powered gantry cranes.
Linking these facilities on shore to additional energy partners such as The Pier, COVE, NSCC and Halifax Grain Elevator (re-envisioned as solar-powered) is a network of hybrid-electric public transport, hydrogen-powered cargo trucks, and a converted rail transport system.
